Location Based Accounting provides the capability to automatically determine a device's location based on its IP address.
Use this form to specify IP address range in Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) format and map them to zone IDs. When an IP device registers with the ICP, its IP address is compared to the ranges contained in the form. If the IP address falls within one of the ranges, the automatically determined zone for the device is that which is programmed against this range.
NOTES
This form is applicable only to MiVoice Business Virtual and MiVoiceBusiness
ISS systems.
This form provides Location
Based Accounting based on IPv6 addresses. You can use the Location Specification (IPv4) form
to configure Location Based Accounting
based on IPv4 addresses.
The IP address range must be in
CIDR format. For example, 2:34:10db:22::/64, which specifies the range:
2:34:10db:22:0000:0000:0000:0000 to 2:34:10db:22:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
A newly defined IP address range must not overlap with an existing IP address range.
A maximum of 500 IP Address ranges are supported.
Multiple IP Address ranges can be associated with the same Zone ID.
